So, my theory is that the first guy had a bit more padding between the electrodes and his muscles/nerves, so he didn't feel it as much, which is why the second one had a harder time earlier on in the "labor". Also, the reason women love their kids afterwards is thanks to ✨hormones✨...oxytocin, the hormone responsible for loving bonds, is actually one of the chemicals responsible for contractions, so mothers are absolutely FLOODED with it during labor and delivery, causing them to develop an even stronger bond with their newborn than they likely already have. Also, breastfeeding causes a release of oxytocin, which prompts minor contractions immediately postpartum to birth the placenta, and of course, further that bond between mother and child. I'm guessing that is also evolutionarily beneficial once the pregnancy hormones wear off a bit, because back in the day, a new mom would only be breastfeeding for a while, so she'd constantly get a bonding boost every time her baby nursed.
